Stainless Steel 420 Sheets and Plates mainly consist of chromium (12–14%), carbon (0.15–0.40%), manganese, silicon, and small amounts of nickel and molybdenum. This martensitic stainless steel grade is known for its excellent hardness and decent corrosion resistance, particularly after undergoing heat treatment. It offers a tensile strength of about 700 MPa and a yield strength of roughly 345 MPa, with hardness levels that can surpass 50 HRC when properly tempered.
