The AWS Class ER317L MIG and TIG Filler Welding Wire and Rod is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel alloy enriched with molybdenum to boost its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Its typical makeup consists of about 19% chromium, 13% nickel, 3.5% molybdenum, and a maximum of 0.03% carbon. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of roughly 550 MPa, yield strength of 350 MPa, and an elongation of 35%. These characteristics guarantee excellent weldability, toughness, and corrosion resistance, especially in chloride and acidic environments.
