Stainless Steel 410S is low-carbon variants of stainless steel 410 which offers better weldability and improved corrosion resistance. The chemical composition mainly consists of 11.5-13.5% chromium, with a maximum 0.08% carbon content along with traceable manganese, silicon, and phosphorus. It possesses average tensile strength along with excellent resistance to oxidation as well as adequate formability. Mechanical properties involve tensile strength ranging from 500-700 MPa and yield strength being minimum at 205 MPa with elongation above 20%. It provides good protection against scaling as well as against stress corrosion cracking; it can tolerate mildly corrosive environments.
