The composition of Stainless Steel 439 Sheets and Plates primarily includes chromium (17–19%), titanium (as a stabilizing element), and low carbon content, along with trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and nickel. This ferritic stainless steel grade is known for its remarkable resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and stress corrosion cracking. It features a tensile strength of about 415 MPa, a yield strength of around 240 MPa, and an elongation of approximately 25%. The inclusion of titanium not only improves weldability but also enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion, all while maintaining good mechanical strength and thermal stability, even in high-temperature settings.
